The general rule
Once a contribution has been successfully processed and disbursed to the applicable verified beneficiary, hospital, healthcare institution or other approved recipient, it is generally non-refundable. Refunds are not ordinarily available simply because a contributor changes their mind, a campaign does not reach its fundraising target, or the contributor is dissatisfied with the campaign outcome.
When a refund may be possible
A refund may be considered in the following circumstances:
- Duplicate contribution: the same contribution was successfully charged more than once.
- Payment error: a technical or payment-processing error resulted in an incorrect amount being charged.
- Fraud or material misrepresentation: a campaign is removed for fraud, material misrepresentation or violation of Raizoh's Terms of Use before funds are disbursed.
- Campaign cancellation: a campaign is cancelled or withdrawn before funds are disbursed, where a refund is permitted and operationally possible.
- Legal or payment requirement: a refund or reversal is required under applicable law or the rules of the relevant payment partner.
All refund requests are reviewed individually and are subject to verification, applicable law and payment-partner procedures.
How to request a refund
To request a refund, contact [email protected] with:
- the transaction or payment reference ID;
- the campaign name or campaign ID;
- the date and amount of the contribution; and
- the reason for the refund request.
Refund requests should be submitted as soon as possible after the transaction. Raizoh may request additional information to verify the transaction and prevent fraudulent refund requests.
Processing of approved refunds
Where a refund is approved, it will generally be processed through the original payment method or the applicable payment partner. The time taken for the refund to reach the contributor's account may depend on the relevant bank, card network, UPI provider or payment partner and may be outside Raizoh's control. Any applicable payment-processing fees or other charges will be treated in accordance with the applicable payment-partner terms and applicable law.
If a campaign is removed
If a campaign is removed for fraud, material misrepresentation or violation of Raizoh's Terms of Use before funds are disbursed, contributions already collected may be reviewed for refund on a case-by-case basis. Where funds have already been disbursed, Raizoh may take appropriate action depending on the circumstances, applicable law and the ability to recover or reverse the funds.
